DRING LANGUAGE FELLOWSHIP – OAK PARK

Mission

We believe that communication between people of the world is not truly possible without common languages.  The Dring Language Fellowship is intended to encourage young people to reach competency and fluency in any foreign language of their choice by providing up to $2,500 for language training, foreign travel and related expenses.

This program was begun in Oak Park, Illinois in 2007.  In 2010, a Dring Language Fellowship program was started in Steamboat Springs, Colorado serving students from all of the high schools in Routt County.

Overall, the program has assisted thirty-one young people trying to reach competency in a foreign language
